Student Award
The award will be given to a limited number (within 10) of students. To apply for student award, the letter of application (see below) with the recommendation letter (any format) from the supervisor must be attached to the abstract. And the student must be the first author of the presentation.

The deadline and the submission procedure are the same as those of the regular abstract. However, the deadline of full paper submission is July 31, 2007, one month earlier than that of regular papers. The committee will announce the result on the web-site by the end of September. The winners will be awarded 30,000 Japanese Yen (JPY) per person at the conference site.

Note that the winners should also pay the registration fee.

Young Scientist Award
The award will be given to a limited number (within 5) of researchers under 35 years old, at October 28, 2007. To apply for the young scientist award, the letter of application (see below) with a list of latest journal articles contributing to SIMS studies must be attached to the abstract. And the young scientist must be the first author of the presentation.

The deadline and the submission procedure are the same as those of the regular abstract. However, the deadline of full paper submission is July 31, 2007, one month earlier than that of regular papers. The committee will announce the result on the web-site by the end of September. The winners will be awarded 30,000 Japanese Yen (JPY) per person at the conference site.

Applicants of Student Award or Young Scientist Award should send the application letter which includes the following information after online submission of the abstracts to the following address ( Akiya_Karen@trc.toray.co.jp ).

The Program Committee will select the Awards by considering above information and submitted full papers.
